Photos With Rusty
Rusty the Dragon lives in the TASC lab, which has been his home since he was a 6 weeks old hatchling. He loves visitors, food and attention, so please come by to say “hello” to him: you will even get the chance to have your photo taken with a real Dragon (please take a look at the fast growing gallery of the “Rusty Fan Club”) . Rusty doesn’t bite, loves to be held, and is generally well behaved if you respect his needs.
Bearded dragons are lizards indigenous to Australia’s desert regions. These reptiles get their name because of a behavior where they can puff out and darken the skin under their throats, which looks like a beard. Their scientific name is Pogona Vitticeps and they are medium sized lizards which are genereally 12-24 inches in length from their head to the tip of their tail. They are omnivorous, as they eat both greens, insects and worms. Bearded dragons are some of the most popular of reptile pets because they are very gentle, people friendly and easy to care for.
