Dear Colleagues,
The Stanford Translational Applications Service Center (TASC) has started using a new online system to streamline the process of ordering and tracking core service requests. All facility users are invited to use the system, which requires a one-time registration as discussed below, using your SUNet credentials. Once you are registered, the system will enable you to place service requests, provide required approvals, and monitor progress.
NOTE: If you are already registered in the Shared Facilities system you do not need to register again.
TO REGISTER FOR A NEW ACCOUNT:
-
Login using your SUNet ID and password.
-
Upon successful authentication, you will be prompted to select your PI/lab from the pull-down list and provide your phone number. ALL fields in the registration form are required.
-
Submit the completed registration form. Submission will notify your PI or lab manager of your lab membership request.
-
You will be sent an email with basic instructions on using the system at this time. However, you will not be able to place orders with your new account until your PI has approved your lab membership request and assigned a PTA for you to charge services against.
TO CREATE A SERVICE REQUEST:
Using your SUNet credentials, you can place orders for printing.
-
Navigate to the core page: https://sharedfacilities.stanford.edu/service_center/show_external/281/
-
In the upper, right hand corner of the page, login using your SUNet credentials.
-
Click the Request Form tab and use the Cost Estimator Worksheet provided under Step 1 to estimate cost for your print.
-
Click the Request Service button below Step 2 to submit your Request Form. Work through the request.
-
You will be asked to complete a form, provide design file(s) and provide payment information for your request before submitting the request to the core.
-
Your request will be pending review by the core. The core will add expected charges and send a quote back to you for approval. You will need to log in and approve the quote within the system. Make sure to watch for an email from iLab regarding your updated project.
